BRICOLLA

In Bricolla, two ways of living and building merge, coming from two different cultures:  the local Monregalese farm as a pedestal, half-sunken in the slope with massive heat-performing walls made of  lime and hemp, and a light shelter atop of it, made of an exposed steel structure and enclosed by wooden panels.

De-luxurising the quest for decarbonization: this is the reason for researching non-conventional building solutions, employing local/natural techniques and materials, pursuing the reduction of the embedded energy of the whole process, lowering its  ecological footprint while (re)activating a whole network of local (<60 km) knowledge and productions.
