Venaria HOSPITAL
The brief comes from a Project Financing call for the design and construction of a healthcare buildin, in particular an outpatient clinic for specialised activities, and a district hospital, with 84 beds, related to the priority needs of the user community represented by the population of the surrounding municipalities.
The outpatient facility is articulated on a multi-storey building, designed to mitigate visual interference with the historical structures of the royal palace nearby, and the surrounding buildings.
Volumes are designed to minimize interference with the historical buildings of the Reggia of Venaria, clustered around a clear “backbone” indoor layout. The humanization of spaces for patients, staff, and visitors, is developed as a core value, alongside a highly efficient building-plant system to reduce consumption and management costs. The design incorporates low environmental impact materials during construction and high durability materials to control the building life cycle, while also integrating renewable resources for energy production.
